Traditional and beautiful, the sun shone high in the sky and champagne corks popped in preparation for the day ahead. As we set up to shoot, people came and went, all details being worked on while we shot both wedding parties at The Old Mill grounds in Toronto. In wants of keeping tradition alive, we were cautious when shooting the pre-ceremony portraits so that the bride and groom would not cross paths prior to the aisle walk. This kept things exciting.
As the day progressed, the sun grew warmer, introducing Jenna’s debut down the chapel aisle – her mother walking along her side as she gave her little girl away to husband-to-be, Tim – a standout moment that we’ll never forget.
Elegant yet rustic, we continued to shoot along The Old Mill grounds, the gardens throughout providing whimsy and an overall feeling of calm before whisking off to the reception, where newlyweds, Jenna and Tim walked through the doors hand in hand. Laced with bridal white and pastel pink, everything was placed perfectly – every bow pulled tight and detail noticed.
Speeches led into dinner, which then led into dance, the floor clear as the bride and groom shared their first dance as husband and wife. Everyone joined in to celebrate after the first song – love and new beginnings floating through to evenings end.
